Born on January 16, 1931 in Ernest, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest child to Joseph Stanley Briscoe and Mary Louise Berish.

Dorothy was of average build and short of stature (5 foot 2 1/2 inch). She had dark blond hair and blue-green eyes.

The couple had three children: two boys - Edward James and Joseph John and one girl - Francine Michelle. The couple divorced on June 21, 1083 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

The grave of Dorothy is located in Holy Cross Cemetery which is located on 14609 Brookpark Road about two miles northeast of Brook Park, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Her grave can be found in the southwest corner of the cemetery in Section 39, Lot 259, Grave 1.
