Thomas Frank Petiya

Born March 15, 1923 in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. He was the ninth oldest child of the ten children of John George Petiya and his wife Anna Kolcum.
Description
Thomas, or Timmy as he was known, was of average build (weighing 130 lbs in 1942) and short of stature (5 foot 7 inch). He had a ruddy complexion along with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a built-up shoe on his left leg because it was shorter than his right leg.
Early Years
- Childhood - Andrew had six brothers, Stephen, John R., Joseph Peter, Frank Joseph, Andrew Steve and Paul Edward, and three sisters, Anna, Helen Barbara and Pauline. The family moved to Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio in 1942.

Baptized into the Catholic faith.
He was a member of St. Marys Church in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.

Thomas passed away from heart and lung failure on December 24, 1994 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.
He was buried on December 28, 1994 at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio. The grave of Thomas is located in All Souls Cemetery on Hoagland-Blackstub Road, one mile north of SR 305 in Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio. This cemetery is approximately 7-8 miles north of Warren, Ohio.
