Elizabeth was average in build and stature. She had brown hair and brown eyes.

- Childhood - Her birth name was Elizabeth Beros but was later changed to Berish when her father became an American citizen. She was born at home and Maria Antolic attended her birth. Elizabeth's nickname in childhood was Lizzie. Later in life, she also went by Betty.

Family Years
Married Joseph Michael Nemitt on January 28, 1930 in the Toronto, Jefferson County, Ohio. She was 21 years old and Joseph was 26. They were married by the Reverend Andrew R. Beros in Toronto, Ohio. As fate seemingly would have it, the Reverend happened to be a distant cousin of the bride. Elizabeth and Joseph would begin their married life living with his family in Saline, Ohio while he began to build a life for his new bride.
The couple would eventually have three children: two boy - Joseph Michael and Robert John, and one girl - Elizabeth Jane. On July 23, 1930, my Great Aunt Elizabeth Helen (Berish) Nemitt gave birth to a set of twins in East Liverpool, Ohio. They would be the first children born to the young couple...a little girl and boy. They named their daughter Elizabeth Jane. Unfortunately, there were a complications and the little boy died the same day. He was buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio. He was never named and his gravestone reads “Infant Nemitt.”
