Born February 29, 1920 in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. He was one of six children born to Michael Anthony Maggiano and Celestina Toro.
Description
He was of heavy in build (236 pounds in 1941) and tall in stature (6 foot). He had brown hair, brown eyes and wore eyeglasses in his later years.

Education
Lawrence graduated in 1937 from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.
He also graduated with a Bachelors in Biology in 1949 from Youngstown College in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio.
He later graduated in 1953 from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois and did his internship at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Religion
He was a member of the Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland, Trumbull County, Ohio.

Lawrence was a physician. He was chief resident at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in 1954 where he served on the staff from 1955 to 1986 and was the medical director at General Motors Lordstown Assembly Plant for 16 years. He also served as physician for the Warren City Schools. He retired from his private general practice in 1994 after 39 years.

He enjoyed sports, golfing, fishing, traveling and flying.
Death
Lawrence passed away from an extended illness on April 29, 2001 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.
He was buried on April 17, 1996 at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna County, Ohio.
