Charles, or Bud as he was known, was average of build and tall stature (6 foot 2 inch). He had brown hair and blue eyes.

He was buried on September 22, 2018 at Daytona Memorial Park in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida. His grave is located in Daytona Memorial Park South at 1425 Bellevue Avenue in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida. This cemetery is approximately 2.5 miles southwest of the city. His grave is in Section 4, Lot 263, Grave 1.
