Born June 1, 1920 in Center Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. A child of Simon Yonut and Ruth Ann Dragus.

Simon on February 13, 2007 at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. He was buried in February 2007 at Lordstown Village Cemetery in Lordstown, Trumbull County, Ohio.
