Born on October 5, 1915 in. Greenwald, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was the seventh oldest child of Joseph Galetka and Agnes Theresa Monka.

Description

Emma who stood about 5 foot 11 inches tall was of average build. He weighed about 170 pounds in 1940. He had blue eyes and red hair.

He served as a corporal of the 3rd Marine Division of the US Marine Corps in the Asiatic and Pacific theaters

Emil died from cardiac arrest on September 5, 2002 at Allegheny General, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on September 9, 2002 at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
