Born on April 10, 1925 in Lee County, Kentucky. She was the third oldest child of John Monroe Jones and Phena Southall.

Description

Irene was average in build and stood about 5 foot 7 inches tall. She had brown hair, brown eyes and wore glasses.

Education

Irene completed high school. She went on to receive an Associates Degree in an Applied Science in Nursing at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. From there she received a Bachelors In Applied Science in 1977 from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. In 1981, Irene received a Masters In Education - Guidance Teacher At University Of Dayton in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio

Family Years

How Elizabeth came to meet his future husband Paul John Timko an only be a matter for speculation. It is known that the Slovak miners lived in very close-knit communities where everyone knew everyone else. Perhaps they met during a church social or through mutual friends or simply as neighbors. No matter, the county records show they were married on February 16, 1935 in Dixonville, Indiana County, PA.

Never the next seventeen years, the young couple would have four children: two boys - Paul Steve and Thomas Richard Timko, and two girls - Dorothy Alice and Elizabeth Delores. Susanna would only live a few days before passing away.

She was a homemaker and worked at St Joseph Hospital. Irene also a registered nurse at Trumbull County Joint Vocational School

Personal Life

Her hobbies included playing the organ and going to auctions.

Death[edit | edit source]

Irene died from cardiopulmonary aArrest from renal failure and diabetes on 3 October 3, 2001 at St. Joseph's Health System East in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.

She was buried on October 6, 2001 at Howland Township Cemetery in Howland, Trumbull County, Ohio.
