Born May 3, 1923 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. He was the third oldest child of Andrew William Green and Elizabeth Bessie Holmes.
Description
Richard was shown to be a man of average stature (5 foot 10 1/2 inch) and weight (148 pounds in 1942). He was a clean shaven man except that in later life he wore a small mustache. He had a fair complexion, and had brown hair and blue eyes. He also wore glasses in his later years.

Richard died from a heart attack on October 21, 1976 at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.
He was buried on October 23, 1976 at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio.
