Barbara married Stephen Bernard Petiya on July 19, 1952 in Bainbridge, Maryland where Stephen was stationed while serving in the U.S. Naval Reserves. They were married by Rev. August Wolfe, Chaplain at US Naval Training Center. The couple later divorced in 1964. Barbara later married Henry Edward Rostan on May 15, 1971 in Winchester County, Virginia. The couple later divorced on November 29, 1971 in Trumbull County, Ohio. Her second marriage resulted in no children.
