Born August 10, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Her adopted parents were Joseph Aloysius Spurrier Jr and Pearl R. O'Donnell.

Early Years
- Childhood - He birth parents were named Weir and they had eight children (Four girls and four boys). When her birth father died, her birth mother could not support the family, so her youngest children were placed in an orphanage. Mary remained there until she was placed with one of her cousins who became her foster parents

Mary died on October 16, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Health Health System East in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. She was buried on October 19, 2009 at Sager Cemetery in Bristolville, Trumbull County, Ohio.
