Born on November 27, 1935 in Aultman, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He was the second oldest child to Peter John Berish and Mary Zilka.
Description
Edward was of average build and tall of stature (6 foot 2 inch). He had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wore glasses in his later years.

He graduated in 1953 from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.

Edward was baptized into the Catholic faith.
He attended at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at 2053 North Road NE in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.
Military Service Years
Edward John Berish was drafted in 1958 and served in the U.S. Army and served two years as a tank commander at Fort Knox, Tennessee. (The facility encompasses 109,000 acres in three Kentucky counties, including Bullitt Hardin and Mead Counties.)

Family Years
Married Gloria Ann Delida on October 7, 1961. The couple had five children: five girls - Denise Marie, Lisa Renee, Diane Lynn, Sandra Lee and Beth Ann. The young couple built a life together filled with love, laughter and blessings. Their marriage was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Working Years
Upon his from his time in the U.S. Army, Ed continued on his journey as a skilled bricklayer for 31 years, under the guidance of E. Henry Construction. In 1985, he started his own company, Five Star Construction, which was named in honor of his five daughters. Throughout his career, he contributed to the construction of numerous commercial buildings. He loved to say “I built that” when driving by one of his creations. He retired in 1999, after 45 years in the industry. With every brick he laid, he left behind a lasting mark of his craftsmanship and dedication.
Personal Life
Ed had several hobbies and interests. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and doing crossword puzzles. He was famous for his Swiss steak dinners and loved cooking for the entire family. He was a member of the How Kola hunt club. Ed also enjoyed weekly visits to “the office” with his wife and sister-in-law, Joyce “Babe.”
Death
Edward George Berish died from colon cancer on July 24, 2023 surrounded by his family at the home he built in Leavittsburg, Trumbull County, Ohio.
He was buried on July 24, 2023 in Pineview Cemetery in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. The grave of Edward is located in Pineview Cemetery at 4049 Youngstown Rd SE in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. This cemetery is approximately 3.2 miles southeast of the city.
