BMC Anthony Joseph Olejarczyk served in the U.S. Navy. Began serving on 2 Aug 1949 and was discharged on 16 Mar 1969. He served on the USS Tennessee and manned a deck gun at the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was injured during the Japanese attack. He recovered and went on to serve twenty years in the Navy and complete six world-tour cruises. Anthony was known as “Oley” while in the Navy. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Death
Anthony died from stomach cancer on September 18, 1990 in Parma, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was buried in September of 1990 at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
