Stephen graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio

Stephen Bernard in uniform.

Military Service Years

Seaman Stephen Bernard Petiya served in the U.S. Naval Reserves during the Korean Conflict. Began serving on 26 Mar 1952 and was discharged on 26 Mar 1952. He served as a Dental Technician.

Family Years

He married Barbara Ann Timko on July 19, 1952 in Bainbridge, Maryland where Stephen was stationed while serving in the U.S. Naval Reserves. They divorced in 1964. Stephen later married Thelma Jean Jenkins on February 13, 1982. They had no children.

The Stephen and Barbara would only have one child - Sharon Marie.

The only child of Barbara and Stephen was;

Residences

Working Years

Employed as an engineer for Packard Electric Division of General Motors in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio.

Personal Life

He loved to play the harmonica and enjoyed woodworking.

Death

Stephen died at home on March 20, 2016 at Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio.

He was buried at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio.
