Paulette died from a gun shot wound on August 30, 2011 in New Lyme Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio. She was murdered by her husband Thomas Jefferson Propst II. She was buried at All Souls Cemetery on September 6, 2011 in Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio.
