Jeannette & Paul Berish

Born on May 15, 1921 in Idamar, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. She was the eldest child of Charles W. Everitt and Eliza Stanton.

Description

Jeannette who stood about 5 foot 3 inches tall was of average build. She had dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Education

Jeannette completed the seventh grade. She quit school two months into the 8th grade to work as a baby sitter/housekeeper for a local well-to-do family.

Family Years

Married Paul Joseph Berish on October 12, 1940 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. After the death of her first husband, Jeannette married Leonard Blair Spence on January 19, 2000 in Trumbull County, Ohio. The couple had no children.

  • 724 W. Main Street in Rural Vally, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

Working Years

Jeannette was a homemaker for 58 years. She also worked as a dressmaker at Singer for 10 years. (She would sew dresses in the store-front window to attract customers.)

Death

Jeannette died from Covid-19 virus during the 2020 pandemic on May 16, 2020 at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

She was buried beside her husband Paul on May 20 at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Trumbull County, Ohio.
