Born on May 10, 1906 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She fourth oldest child of Albert J. Novotny and Emilia A. Lesky.

Description

Anna was a woman of average height (5 foot 5 inch) and average weight.. She had a fair complexion with brown hair and brown eyes.

Family Years

How Anna came to meet her future husband John Joseph Timko can only be a matter for speculation. It is known that the Slovak miners lived in very close-knit communities where everyone knew everyone else. Perhaps they met during a church social or through mutual friends or simply as neighbors. No matter, the county records show they were married on October 13, 1930 at St. Bernard’s Church in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The ceremony was performed by Father James Brady.

All Souls Cemetery is located on Hoagland-Blackstub Road, 1 mile north of SR 305 in Cortland, Ohio., Trumbull County, Ohio. This cemetery is approximately 7-8 miles north of Warren, Ohio. Anna's grave can be found at Section 3 NH, Lot 2419, Grave 4.
