Born on April 5, 1946 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia. She was a child to Rudolph Charles Cline and Shirley Arlene Swisher.

Married Paul Joseph Berish Jr. on July 10, 1965. The couple would eventually have two children, one boy: Kevin Paul, and one girl: Holly Sue. Divorced Paul on in January of 1974. Dolly then married a man with the surname of Fox.
