Anna was almost totally blind since the age of three. She was playing outside and called out to her mother that she couldn’t see. She was taken to the doctors who did more damage than good and Anna was became  totally blind for about three years. Eventually she recovered partial vision. She likened her vision to like a room filled with smoke. She could find her way around the house but could not see anything in the distance. The family took her to numerous doctors in later years but the doctors said took much scarring had developed and only a eye transplant could help.
