Born November 4, 1928 in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. He was the oldest of the two children born to Joseph Peter Petiya and his wife Mary Magdalene Mink.
Description
Robert was of average build (weighing 151 pounds in 1946) and of average stature (5 foot 9 1/2 inch). He had a light complexion along with brown hair and brown eyes. He had a scar in the shape of a questions mark of right forearm.

He was buried on December 9 1994 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. The grave of Robert is located on the west side of the intersection of Niles Road SE (Ohio State Route 169) and Thomas Road SE. This cemetery is approximately 1 1/2 miles southeast of Warren, Ohio.
