 Married '''[[Joseph Michael Nemitt]]''' on January 28, 1930 in the Toronto, Jefferson County, Ohio. She was 21 years old and Joseph was 26. They were married by the Reverend Andrew R. Beros in Toronto, Ohio. As fate seemingly would have it, the Reverend happened to be a distant cousin of the bride. Elizabeth and Joseph would begin their married life living with his family in Saline, Ohio while he began to build a life for his new bride.

Unfortunately, there were a complications and the little boy died the same day. He was buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio. He was never named and his gravestone reads “Infant Nemitt.”
